A little bit of advice

Hello Everyone! This time I don’t have a photo, but I want to talk about you.

I’m a second year in college, and let me tell you, college is stressful! Don’t get me wrong, it’s worth every minute. But remember to take time for you. Make sure that your personal needs are taken care of. Go get your nails done, or go out to the movies, or even just stay in and  order take out. I know what it is like to focus so much on other people and other things that you start to let yourself go. It’s not fun. Make sure that you are you, before you give yourself to someone else.

Well, Have Fun! Be Safe! Love Life! AND  Always Remember, Live Life to the Fullest!

School

Definition: Cramming for finals in with no sleep schedule

Finals are here and I have no sleep schedule. Literally dying because every other night I am up until 5 or 6 stu(dying). I’ll keep it short this week but, stay in school kids. Yes it’s boring. Yes it’s tiring. Yes it’s long. But it is also the way to make more money. The way to find out what your true passion is in life. It’s the way you can make some pretty amazing friends.

After Thanksgiving Festivities

step one: put up your tree

Everyone knows that after thanksgiving comes many many festivities. You go shopping, you put up your Christmas decorations, you get ready for Hanukkah, and all the holidays out there.

My family has always puts up our Christmas tree within the days following thanksgiving. I have taken up the liberty to follow this tradition by putting up a little tree in my apartment. I love this time of year because it brings families together. So, if you’re reading this and you have a family member (or many family members) that you’re astray from, make it a point this year to connect with them this year. You really never know how long anyone has. So make the most out of this holiday season with your loved one. It’ll be worth it in the end, I promise.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving: the expression of gratitude, especially to God.

This year I’m thankful for a lot: I’m thankful to live in America where I can get a great education. I’m thankful for the medicine we have today, because without it I would probably be dead. I’m thankful for the family that adopted me. And most of all, I’m thankful for having such a great mother growing up, she really taught me what a hardworking, educated, fighter looks like.

There’s a lot to be thankful for this year, don’t let petty fights tear a family apart. Don’t forget to tell your loved ones how much you are thankful for them. And I hope all of you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Vacation

San Francisco (2014)

Family vacations have always been my favorite part of my life. I’ve created so many memories from church services at sunset in Hawaii, to watching fireworks on the Fourth of July in D.C., to taking ferry rides around the San Francisco Bay. I learned at a young it’s important to travel and see as much as you could. My mother didn’t have much money as child, she didn’t get to travel nearly as much as she should have. While I was growing up she made sure that every summer we had somewhere to go, so we could see all the world has to offer us. I know that if my mother was here today she would tell me to go out, see the world, live life the way she taught us to live it.
